The Story of Vidya Vox

The mashup queen, Vidya Vox (originally Vidya Iyer, Vox being the Latin for voice), a Chennai born singer, was raised in Virginia, US. 
She learnt Carnatic Music from D.K. Nagarajan, brother of the late D. K. Pattammal. 

Vidya started performing for the people through a YouTube Channel, with her sister. Her first mash up was released in April, 2015 under the Vidya Vox Youtube channel, which gained over 90 million views since then.


A psychology student, who got her degree in Psychology from George Washington University, Vidya sings for a band which is organized by Shankar Tucker.  She has performed as a vocalist worldwide including  White House, National Centre for the Performing Arts (India), Webster Hall and her performance are staged at Festivals Des Artes in Reunion Island, INK Women, Suriname, Dubai and Meru Concert Series in Netherlands.
She has gained attention from many celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Diplo, Major Lazer, and Hrithik Roshan.
